How to Clean and Disinfect

Soft (Porous) Surfaces

When it comes to soft (porous) surfaces, use different methods. These soft surfaces include carpeted floor, rugs, and drapes. Start by removing visible contamination if present and clean with appropriate cleaners indicated for use on these surfaces.

Then there are some things to do after the cleaning. First, launder items as appropriate. Do in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Use the warmest possible water temperature when cleaning. This is where it is important to check the cleaning instructions, but using the warmest water allows for a better clean. And then always dry completely.
